What I liked most about Darklight was the fact that I felt this book stood very well on it's bltadwin.ru is a sequel and a second book in a trilogy, and many times those second books just feel like placeholders. But the plot moved forward in Darklight and even though it is a second book, there's enough of a recap of the first book and new storylines that reader's could read this book by itself.
