Daiko, the resident of an estate nestled in the lush countryside outside of Venice, knows her area well-in fact, her first novel, "Lady of Asolo" ventures into a time-slip storyline involving a circa art student and a lady-in-waiting at the historical 16th century court of Queen Caterina Cornaro at Asolo in the Veneto. Lady of Venice is a historical romance by SC Daiko, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this type of genre - how wrong I was. I really enjoyed this storyline it flowed brilliantly between present past, the descriptions of the old new world were amazing it felt like you were living in both eras, all the characters were amazing, I have a soft spot for 'Auntie'. Lady of Asolo by Siobhan Daiko was published for kindle in November , and in paperback in February this year. I was thoroughly delighted when author offered a copy for review via THE Book Club on Facebook - it just looked so perfectly "me".
