Sita is a young West-Australian Author, Actress, Yogi, and Independent Filmmaker from the small coastal town of Margaret River. She writes empowering fantasy adventure novels inspired by eastern mysticism and ancient wisdom from multiple cultures, that follow smart, sensitive, determined young women on quests for truth and freedom in chaotic worlds/5. "In Maya of the Inbetween, Bennet adds Tolkien-like world-building to a YA dystopia akin to Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games. Elements of environmentalism and yoga philosophy are woven throughout. The fantasy and science fiction elements add interest and prove that Bennett isn’t too self-serious. Maya is also an unexpected heroine.

Dystopia, Utopia, and the realm of the Ascendents intersect through the inter-dimensional Sëeing's of one girl, Maya. She is The In-between - Humanity's channel between life and death. Humanity has depleted planet Earth of its natural resources, and natural disasters have been steadily wiping the land in a last-resort attempt to survive. "In Maya of the Inbetween, Bennett adds Tolkien-like world-building to a YA dystopia akin to Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games. Elements of evironmenalism and yoga philosophy are woven throughout. The fantasy and science fiction elements add interest and prove that Bennett isn't too self-serious. Maya is also an unexpected heroine. Sita’s Bennett’s Maya of the In-Between begins in The City, a dystopian world that predictably has its Orwellian overseers who ruthlessly restrict individual initiative and freedom of thought. Though I don’t mind reading dystopian fiction if it has a measure of hope weaved into the tale, it is not my favorite.
